By going virtual, the new products and technologies entered in the contest were given expanded coverage through dedicated product profile pages on the IA\u2019s Education Week+ website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirty-one new products and technologies were entered in five categories. Products were evaluated based on innovation, design quality, increased water\/resource-use efficiency, ease of use and product life expectancy. Contest judges were experienced professionals with technical knowledge and industry expertise. Official judging was conducted via Zoom Nov. 16-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new product contest has been the best place to see the hottest new irrigation and lighting products and technologies to hit the market in the last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s contest includes entries in the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>agriculture irrigation<\/li><li>landscape irrigation<\/li><li>landscape lighting<\/li><li>specialty agriculture irrigation<\/li><li>specialty landscape irrigation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud to communicate that the winner of the\u00a0<strong>landscape specialty<\/strong>\u00a0category is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ia.informz.net\/z\/cjUucD9taT04MTczNjAwJnA9MSZ1PTg4MzY5NTE0OSZsaT02ODY2NTE4Nw\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">E-Sport with Ribbed PE Hose<\/a>\u00a0by Irriland SRL. E-Sport is a self-propelled solar-powered traveling sprinkler with innovative low friction coefficient tube. The eco-friendly machine is completely activated by an electric motor powered by solar energy, and with a series of batteries it can be operated 24\/7, 365 days a year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ribbed pipe is a new product on the market for which IRRILAND holds the patent. The development took place after deducing, from experience in the field, that a particularly worn pipe (SCRATCHED) becomes smoother as the coefficient of friction in the field decreases.
